Interview: Take Back The Night

EUGENE, Ore. — Every two minutes in the United States, someone becomes a victim of sexual violence. The majority of them are women.

Take Back the Night is part of a world-wide movement to end violence against women. The event started in 1976 in Belgium, and Eugene has held its event for several years.

The event in Eugene is happening Thursday, April 25 starting at 6 p.m. at the University of Oregon EMU Amphitheater. The rally is at 6 p.m. Then there is the march to Cozmic Pizza at 7 p.m., followed by the speak-out around 8:15 p.m.
