EUGENE — Oregon Tech head coach Danny Miles has 999 career wins – the third most across all levels in college basketball history. On Friday night, Miles has a chance to get his 1,000th win. Former Oregon star Luke Jackson, now the head coach at Northwest Christian University, will try delay the milestone when OIT and NCU meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Morse Event Center.

The only two other coaches with 1,000 career wins are former Tennessee women’s coach Pat Summitt and current McKendree University men’s coach Harry Statham.

Oregon Tech beat Northwest Christian 72-53 on January 4th in Klamath Falls. It was a disappointing loss for the Beacons, who upset then-#2 Southern Oregon the night before.

The game is the Roundball Wrap Game Of The Week and will air live on Live Well Western Oregon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31st. Live Well Western Oregon can be found over-the-air on channel 9.2, on Comcast channel 309, and on Charter channel 291. A replay of the game will air on KEZI 9 on Saturday, February 1st at 11:30 p.m.
