JC Penney to Give Free Haircuts to Kids

(CNN) — JC Penney announced its new free haircut promotion, set to start in November. Every Sunday will be free haircut day for kids for kindergarten to 6th grade.

The company already did a free back-to-school haircuts promotion in August and snipped away locks from more than 1.6 million little heads.

JC Penney announced the promotion in an email to customers.

The announcement came from the CEO, who joined the retailer last year after working for Apple.

This is just part of a new series of initiatives aimed at revamping JC Penney which lost $147 million during the second quarter.
