JFK Exhibit on Display at Knight Library

EUGENE, Ore. — A little slice of JFK history is on display on the University of Oregon campus.

It’s an exhibit containing Kennedy memorabilia and includes photos taken during a visit to the campus. There are also multiple letters and notes exchanged between Kennedy and Oregon Senator Wayne Morse.

Librarian Linda Long says one thing you’ll notice is how JFK signed his letters Jack Kennedy, or Jack. She calls the collection important because of how it reflects his relationship with many here in Oregon.

“For those people that were alive and remember his assassination, it really does have a profound affect I think, people get really emotional when they look at this material,” Long said.

The exhibit will be on display through Dec. 5 inside the Paulson Reading Room on the second floor of the library.
