Kaleidoscope Cancelled at Mt. Pisgah

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Lane County Parks Department says it cancelled its contract with OneEleven Events for future use of the Emerald Meadows venue near Mt. Pisgah.

The parks department said the decision to cancel the contract followed complaints of loud noise, trash and potential environmental damage to the park during the Kaleidoscope Music Festival.

“After reviewing numerous complaints and cleaning up after the festival, it is clear this event was not a good fit for the area,” said Mike Russell, Manager for Lane County Parks.

Lane County Public Works says it received 30 complaints about the Kaleidoscope festival. Public Works says similar events have been previously held at Buford Park and have received limited complaints.

The County ended the three-year contract with OneEleven saying there was a breach of the agreement.
