METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
High pressure and offshore flow got our temperatures into the mid and upper 70’s inland and mid to upper 60s along the coast.
Warm weather will continue Thursday and Friday with high temperatures in the mid 70s in the Willamette Valley, upper 70s in the Umpqua Basin, and low 60s along the coast. Onshore flow will return late in the day Thursday, pushing high clouds across the area. The marine layer will also move back in Thursday night increasing moisture near the surface, causing fog to form Friday Morning.
This weekend will be cooler with high temperatures expected in the low to mid 60s. A weak front will slide just to our north Saturday night, but a few showers may work their way down the central coastline as well as the valley. Another system will swing a bit further to the south Sunday night, giving a better shot of showers through Monday Morning.
Once we’re through Monday, another high pressure ridge will build across the area; clearing out the low clouds and warming the temperatures back up.
Have a wonderful week!
