EUGENE, Ore. — The Emerald Valley Miniature Horse Show attracted nearly 120 horses and more than 50 handlers from all over the region including Washington and California.
Sunday afternoon the youngest competitors went head to head in a variety of competitions including driving around in carts, jumping, and showing off the horses best features.
One competitor said it’s not all about winning for these horse lovers. “I mean it’s just fun for me. Like it’s just a fun activity that I do. I don’t really care what place I get, I just like doing it because it’s fun and I get to be with my horses,” said Kira Nelson, competitor.
At the end of each event, horses and their handlers were presented with ribbons.
