Kids Run for Children’s Miracle Network

3-2 kids run for kidsEUGENE, Ore. — The heavy downpour Sunday didn’t stop nearly 150 kids from running a couple miles Sunday morning to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network.

The Kids Running for Kids race had two options for the young ones. They could either run or walk a 5K or a 1K race.

Organizers said this year’s turnout doubled from last year.

“It just really shows how passionate our community is about helping the sick kids in the hospital and also about just getting out and having fun in the rain,” said John Esa, Children’s Miracle Network Director.

The run took kids down paved bike trails around Alton Baker Park and even onto Pre’s Trail.
