Kiefer Mazda Gives Away Car

EUGENE,¬†Ore. — Kiefer Mazda got in the holiday spirit this year and donated two cars to those who may need a set of wheels.

In November, Kiefer announced its Cars for Christmas charity event. In 250 words or less, the community was invited to write letters recommending a friend or family member who may need a car.

One of the winners, Anna Griswold, was stunned when she picked up her 2004 Ford Focus Wagon Tuesday afternoon. Anna is a single mother of three with a baby due in four weeks.

“When they told me I won, I just I was speechless. I didn’t know what to say, and I just started crying…It doesn’t seem real,” said Griswold.

Everything will be paid for, including the title. The charity event was a collaboration of Kiefer’s entire staff.

Now let’s see her afford the 200/month car insurance payment for a brand new car; if she’s on welfare which she probably is with 4 babies and being single, good luck with that one. You’d be further ahead, dear corporate sponsor, to give her a job to be able to afford to purchase her own USED car with affordable insurance.

I would like to say in response to you ‘jhhd’ that you need to know facts before posting rude comments about someone who is obviously more deserving than you. You don’t know how much her insurance is going to be and you don’t know her story! The car that was gifted to her because she was VERY deserving and this was NOT a brand new car. It was a used Ford Focus (which by the way is listed in the story above). So before you go smack talking know your facts and don’t be so arrogant. She is a fantastic person and a wonderful mother who is by the way employed!

It never ceases to amaze me the ignorance of some people that leave comments on here. Anna has a full time job is not on welfare and oh yes has the same father for all 4 children. You shouldn’t judge a person because they need help or have children. Her life has been turned upside down and people like you jhhd need a lesson in love and understanding!!!! Thank you KIAfor helping this hard working, sacrificing, loving mother of 4 make her life a lot easier!!! God bless you and happy new year

I couldn’t agree with you more Tammy. I find it very troubling when people go spouting their opinion when they know NONE of the actual facts. First off I would like to say that I am very glad Anna was selected. She is an incredible woman and is doing exceptionally well for herself, but everyone could use a helping hand now and again. Secondly I would like to state that the Ford Focus Anna was given by the Kiefer Organization was not a new car and actually has a very affordable insurance rate. Third, when you don’t know anything about the situation, then it is best to keep your opinions to yourself so you don’t sound like a complete and utter fool, not to mention painting an incorrect picture of an amazing person. Happy New Year
