SALEM, Ore. — In remembrance of September 11, 2001, Governor Kitzhaber has ordered for all American flags to be flown at half-staff on Tuesday.
“We pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attacks on September 11, 2001 and honor the men and women who serve and protect our nation today,” said Governor Kitzhaber.
Flags will be lowered to half staff in recognition of Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance, as well.
“We continue to face challenges as a state and as a nation, but today we are reminded of the shared values that give us strength, resolve, and determination” said Kitzhaber.
