KOOL 99.1 FM Holds Fundraiser for NICU

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — You may have heard some familiar voices on the radio Thursday. KEZI 9 News took over the airwaves of KOOL 99.1 for the KOOL Cares for Kids Radiothon.

Listeners were challenged to call in and donate for the Children’s Miracle Network, which buys equipment for the neonatal intensive care unit.

“In the later part of February, we actually had 37 babies in our neonatal intensive care unit, and we only have 36 rooms. Our units were actually running out of equipment and having to rent equipment, so they’re asking us to help buy some isolettes,” said Alexa Sharps, CMN Director.

If you didn’t get a chance to donate, we’ll be back on air Thursday. Just switch your radio dial to KOOL 99.1 FM.
