Lane County Fair Wraps Up

EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane County Fair wrapped up after five days of fun. Crowds packed the fairgrounds for the last day Sunday.

Anyone who went to the fair Sunday received free admission if they donated canned foods to Food for Lane County. Although the fair doesn’t have official attendance numbers yet, everyone working the event seemed to be pleased with the turnout.

“Our carnival guys are happy, our food vendors are happy, our beer sellers are happy, and concert tickets have been selling really well, and they’ve been very well attended, so things are looking really good,” said Rachel Bivens, Lane County Fair spokesperson.

The food drive numbers aren’t in yet, but it’s estimated the fair collected around 21,000 pounds of food.
