EUGENE, Ore. — Tuesday marked the grand opening for the Lane County Farmers Market.
A small group of local farmers and growers were out in the sunshine Tuesday. Customers picked up fresh vegetables, fruit and other goodies.
Growers say it’s great to live in a community that appreciates fresh produce.
“One of the things we’re most lucky to have in Eugene is good quality food and I think that a lot of people come from other regions to get good food,” said grower Jazmin Henderson.
The market runs on the east park blocks between 8th Avenue and Oak Street, Tuesday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
