EUGENE, Ore. — A lot of people will celebrate Independence Day by breaking a sweat in the 41st annual Butte to Butte Race.
On this final day of registration, participants from all over were at the Hilton in downtown Eugene, picking up packets and gathering information.
Organizers say they’re excited to host another 4,500 participants again this year.
“It is truly a community event. Ninety-four percent on average each year are participants who are from Lane County. So it truly is a local event, which is wonderful,” said William Wyckoff, race director.
Anyone interested in taking part or needing to pick up their packet must do so by 6 p.m. Thursday.
