Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Wednesday Night Forecast Discussion:
More heat as we see another day of mid 90s in the valley and low 90s going into the evening hours. Even the overnight hours are cooling very slowly, still in the 70s at midnight tonight, and falling only into the mid 50s by daybreak.
Friday is still going to be hot but we should drop a degree or two into the low 90s for the afternoon and still sunny and very dry. Red Flag Warnings are up for most of Central Oregon through Saturday evening.
Turning towards the weekend, a low pressure center will start to drop in from the Gulf of Alaska bringing back morning clouds for valley residents and chop highs back into the mid to upper 80s on Saturday. The trough of cooler air really kicks in on Sunday with highs only reaching the low 80s! In fact, a good westerly push for most of next week from the ocean should hold highs very comfortable, in the low 80s most of the week.
Have a great Friday!
