EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene law firm is taking a little different approach to the recent mass shootings in both Portland and Connecticut.
For about six years, Arnold Law employees have been allowed to bring guns to work with a concealed carry permit.
Managing Partner Mike Arnold says he’s going to pay for a gun safety class in January for all of his employees.
Arnold says after the tragedy in Connecticut, some of his employees–many of them moms–asked about gun safety.
“We thought that would be a good step to help prevent gun-related accidents, as well as to empower our office staff to have that tool available if they choose to exercise it,” Arnold said.
Arnold says so far the response has been great and many employees will bring their spouses.
