LCC Gets $45,000 Donation

EUGENE, Ore. — Lane Community College got a big donation from a former student.

T.E. Connectivity, a Pennsylvania-based cables and connectors maker, recently donated more than $45,000 of equipment to the advanced technology division of LCC from its Wilsonville site.

Staff members say they’re surprised and grateful for alum David Beede’s generosity.

“It went to automotive, to diesel, to aviation, to maintenance, to manufacturing technology. It went to our electronics department. It’s spread throughout the area, and it’s going to help enrich our students experience,” said Pat O’Connor, Advanced Technology Division Dean.

LCC says having this state-of-the art equipment will give students more relevant workforce training and overall instruction at Lane.
