LCC Student Nurses Giving Free Vaccines

EUGENE, Ore. — Nursing students from Lane Community College are hosting a free vaccination clinic Wednesday at the Eugene Mission.

The students from the school’s Student Nurses’ Association, along with their instructors, will be giving vaccines for Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (Tdap), Influenza (flu) and Pneumonia. They say everyone is welcome.

“This is just a great opportunity to for people to get free vaccines. People can go to Costco or Rite Aid or whatever and pay $30 to get a flu shot and here they can get all four of them for free,” said Emily Danner, Student Nurses Association member.

The clinic happens Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 1-5 p.m. at the Eugene Mission, located at 1542 West 1st Avenue in Eugene.

This is the second clinic the students have held at the Eugene Mission. Last spring, they gave more than 150 vaccines.
