Leaf Collection Continues in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. — The second round of leaf collections in the city of Eugene started Thursday.

Last month’s snowstorm pushed the leaf collection schedule back about a week, so the city is reminding anyone who lives in the second round collection zone to check their online schedule and put the leaves out in the street the weekend before their scheduled pickup.

“Just follow the scheduled pickup and just look at the city website and put them out just before we’re scheduled to be in the area, and then we will get them collected,” said Damon Joyner, City of Eugene Maintenance Supervisor.

The city says to make sure all leaves stay out of bike lanes, and once the collection ends in a few weeks, don’t put any other leaves out in the street.
