Learning About Weather in the Classroom

video preview image

CORVALLIS, Ore. — The second grade students at Lincoln Elementary School invited Meteorologist Melissa Frey into their classroom this week to get an inside look into what she does each morning to make her weather forecast.

They learned about all of the different weather instruments, both on the ground an in space, and why each one is vital to an accurate forecast.

Once they got a few tips from Melissa, these brave souls got their chance to present the weather forecast in front of the camera.

If you would like one of our meteorologists to visit your school, e-mail them at weather@kezi.com
