Each contestant is expected to raise $2,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. Jordan Litalien is competing for Mr. North. Jordan the girl he’s partnered with for the pageant drafted a letter.

They decided to send one to perhaps North Eugene High School’s most famous graduates, Danny Ainge.

He played in the NBA for 14 seasons and is currently the President of Basketball Operations for the Boston Celtics.

Litalien didn’t think much of a response until one day, he got called to the office. There was a package waiting for him.

“Everyone was just surrounding me because it’s from Danny Ainge,” said Jordan. “I opened it up, looked at it. I was frozen. I just dropped it.”

What he dropped was a letter. There was a check for $5,000 inside. All of that money will go to CMN.

The Mr. North pageant is set for April 5.
