SISTERS, Ore. — Investigators say lightning sparked a nearly 27,000 acre fire near Sisters.
They say a small isolated thunderstorm passed over the Pole Creek Trailhead on September 8 the day the fire started.
The fire has been 100 percent contained for about a month, but crews were going to let it burn out.
