METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
A beautiful day Saturday with many locations breaking out into sunshine in the afternoon; unfortunately those in the central Willamette Valley got stuck in the fog. High temperatures warmed near 50 degrees in the afternoon.
We’ll see the fog develop again tonight and some sprinkles along the coast. The fog will hold on through most of the day Sunday, but we’ll see a few peaks of the sun late in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 40s near 50 degrees.
Monday will be similar to Sunday. Fog will be persistent in the morning, but slowly break up throughout the afternoon. High clouds will increase in the afternoon ahead of the next system set to move through early Tuesday.
Scattered showers will start early Tuesday night along the coast and then spread across the rest of the area throughout the morning. As the system pushes off to the east Tuesday night into Wednesday, isolated showers will continue. Another system swings through Thursday bringing another around of scattered showers to end the week. Highs remain in the mid to upper 40s.
Have a Super(bowl) Sunday!
