EUGENE, Ore. — Some local football players will soon get their chance at stardom, but not for their talents on the field.
About a hundred football players between the ages of 14 and 23 lined up outside the Phoenix Inn Wednesday to see if they could land a part in a commercial for an anonymous sports clothing line. The only pre-requisite was football knowledge.
There will be a callback Thursday afternoon, and then the casting company will choose 50 to shoot the commercial on July 31 in Eugene.
