Local Company Composts Storm-Damaged Brush

By Chris Curtis

EUGENE, Ore. — The cleanup continues from the winter storm that hit the valley floor seven days ago.

Lane Forest Products is seeing an increase in customers since the storm.

The company allows customers to bring their brush to one of their two yards in Eugene and Springfield or it will pick it up for you.

The compost will then be recycled.

“We are able to haul a lot of the material and compost it and be able to reintroduce it as some other product here or regular garden compost or other compost products for the homeowners,” said Lane Forest Products Sales Manager Tom Campbell.

If you have any material that needs to be composted, Lane Forest Products is open seven days a week.
