Local Farmers Sell Online

EUGENE, Ore. — Local farmers are getting help from some Eugene businesses with selling their fresh produce across the city.

People now have the option to order fresh produce online and have it delivered to a local dropsite.

Vanilla Jill’s on Blair Boulevard is just one of many locations where customers can pick it up. Owner Megan Stevens says customers can order through Eugene Local Foods. She believes this is great for the community.

“(It’s) improving the economy of Eugene, definitely blessing the local farmers, then improving the health of our bodies by eating local produce instead of eating something from a long ways away which loses nutrients in the process,” Stevens said.

Other pick-up locations include the Vanilla Jill’s on Coburg Road, Ninkasi Brewing Company and Mazzi’s.
