Local Farmers to Showcase CSA Programs

3-31 that's my farmerEUGENE, Ore. — Ever wonder who grew the corn you eat with your dinner?

Tuesday night is your chance to find out and enroll in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs.

It’s the annual That’s My Farmer event held at First United Methodist Church at 13th Avenue and Olive Street in Eugene.

The event is a collaboration between 15 farms and 13 faith communities.

Farms will offer samples of their products and teach people more about their food share programs.

“The food share means that every week you’ll be getting a box of whatever food that particular farm is producing,” said Katharine Hunt, coordinator of That’s My Farmer.

They’ll also be taking donations to provide food shares to low-income community members. The event happens from 6-8 p.m.
