EUGENE, Ore. — It’s goodbye, summer break and hello, school this week for many students across Western Oregon.
Thursday both 4J and Springfield high schools held freshman orientation.
Sheldon officially starts Friday, but Thursday staff members helped orient about 350 incoming freshmen.
Students got their schedules, went to class and even toured campus to learn some school traditions, like kissing the Fighting Irish rock in the middle of campus.
Staff and students–new and returning–seemed ready to start the new year.
Students in Bethel high schools started class Thursday.
