Local Parties Meet To Watch Debate

EUGENE, Ore — President Obama and Mitt Romney are hot off their fierce debate Tuesday night.

Local Republicans and Democrats gathered to watch the debate. A group of about 50 gathered at the Lane County Republicans Headquarters in Eugene.

They kicked off the evening by logging on to a live video chat with Senator Rick Santorum, who took questions from groups all over the country.

More than 60 Democrats crowded into Cozmic Pizza to catch the debate.

Both groups seem to think their candidate did the best job getting his views across. Republicans questioned the president’s answers with some calling him a liar, While most Democrats agreed the president did a better job compared to the first debate.

There are less than three weeks until election day and one more debate next Monday.
