Local Restaurant Helps Typhoon Victims

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A Springfield restaurant is doing what it can to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Maynila on 32nd Street is a Filipino restaurant, and one of owners has family in Manila. He says while they were not impacted, he still feels the call to help. So, they’ve set up a collection box inside the restaurant.

“Right now we would like to get all medical supplies, if possible, or cash. Then we will send it to the Philippines to Sagip Kapamilya to the ABC-CBN,” said Ariel Fonacier, Maynila Co-Owner.

That is a group in the Philippines that will process all the donations going to the typhoon victims. Click here if you want to help.
