EUGENE, Ore. — 15 families will celebrate the holidays this year with gifts under their tree thanks to some local riders.
On Saturday morning, Cruizers for Christ donated toys to ShelterCare for homeless children or kids at risk of homelessness. Parents spent the morning shopping through the donations for their children. Both organizations said they’re grateful for the opportunity.
Alicia Costa, a mother staying at the ShelterCare facility, said, “It warms my heart…It makes me feel good.”
“It’s awesome. I really feel blessed that I can do that, that I have the means to come in here and help a couple families and be able to see them see the motorcycles come through and see their eyes just light up. It’s amazing,” said rider Phillip Park.
Last year, Cruizers for Christ served over 200 families through ShelterCare.
