COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — We all know the classic Cinderella story and the prince in search of the woman who will fit that glass slipper.
But you probably haven’t heard the zombie version, just in time for Halloween.
A 14-year-old Cottage Grove girl wrote a play that takes our beloved fairy tale and turns it upside down. She’s even directing the show.
“It’s awesome. It’s really one of the most amazing things I have ever done just seeing it come from something I made on my mom’s laptop to something like real,” said Vesta Snyder, Zombierella writer.
“They can expect the traditional Cinderella that they love with a gory fun twist that’s sure to be entertaining,” said Megan Martinez, who plays Zombierella.
It opens next Friday and runs through Sunday at the Arcade Theater in Cottage Grove. It’s rated PG-13 for the gore and blood.
