Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:
Thursday’s finish should be a great one: Clear skies with temperatures falling quickly into the 50s tonight, settling down into the mid to upper 30s again for Friday morning. The airmass is very dry so we shouldn’t see more than just a wee bit of patchy fog overnight.
Friday and Saturday continues the nice stretch of sunny weather, dry as well so we’ll warm quickly back into the mid to upper 60s. A storm will dive south through Eastern WA, but it shouldn’t have much (if any) effect on our weather in Western Oregon. Sunday, we’ll be pushing temperatures back into the low 70s in the valley, mid to upper 70s in the Umpqua.
Monday starts to see some changes as storms will slowly help break down the ridge, and bring back the clouds by late Monday. Expect scattered showers Tuesday and Wednesday. The real jarring effect will be the sharply cooler temps, highs back down into the maybe mid 50s by midweek! Some slushy snow showers will also fall in the mountains and along the Passes.
Have a great Thursday night!
