LRAPA Lifts Outdoor Burning Ban

EUGENE, Ore. — The backyard burning ban has been lifted in Lane County.

Lane Regional Air Protection Agency says the open burning season begins Monday, Oct. 15.

Backyard burning is allowed for most residents who live outside the Urban Growth Boundary of Eugene and Springfield, LRAPA says, but it’s not allowed year-round within Eugene and Florence city limits.

For more information on open burning rules, call 541-726-3976 if you live in the Willamette Valley or 541-997-1757 if you live on the coast. You can also go online for more information.
