EUGENE, Ore. – The Lane Transit District is proposing a rate hike, but they want to hear from the public first.
If approved, the price for a monthly pass would go up $2 to $50. Youth passes would go up a dollar to $25.
LTD is hosting a public meeting with the Neighborhood Council Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 99 West 10th Ave. They say community input is really helpful when it’s time to make these decisions.
“Oh, it’s incredibly important to us. We start out with what we think may be good but it’s really a community and what they want that matters and the more input they can give us, the better,” said Russ Arnold, LTD Marketing Manager.
There’s also two more public hearings coming up in the next couple of months. If approved, it’ll be the first time monthly passes have gone up since 2010.
The board of directors is expected to make a decision by April 16.
