Core Campus purchased property north of the intersection at Kings and Walnut Boulevard. The Chicago-based developer builds higher-end, resort-style student housing.
The company wants to have the same amenities in Corvallis as its other locations, such as a golf simulator, an outdoor pool with a jumbotron screen, private cabanas and beach volleyball.
Before the student paradise becomes a reality, the city has to approve it.
“Because of the zoning of the property, any plan for development there would need to come back through a public hearing process for plan development approval,” said Kevin Young, City of Corvallis Planning Division Manager.
Core Campus says the next step is submitting plans to the city. Click here to see projects Core Campus has completed.
