EUGENE, Ore. — Former Oregon Duck Colt Lyerla was back in court Wednesday morning, after the judge twice postponed his hearing.
Deputies arrested Lyerla two weeks ago. They say they caught him snorting what appeared to be cocaine, near 7th Avenue and Polk Street.
Lyerla appeared with his defense team and asked for a two-week extension to prepare their case, which the judge denied. As a result, his defense team declined the drug treatment program and the case will now go to trial.
