Mail Theft Increasing in Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office wants you to be careful this holiday season–the peak time for mail theft.

Deputies say if you’re mailing anything with personal information, hand deliver it to the post office.

Tell UPS or FedEx drivers not to leave packages at your door when you’re not home.

Don’t put mail in your box overnight.

Lastly, report anything suspicious to your local police.
