Officers arrested Elijah McGloghlon during a traffic stop Wednesday night. They say they knew what kind of car he was driving and where he would be.
During the stop, they say McGloghlon had a loaded handgun with him.
“We’re very happy to get him off the street. Like I said, it’s been a concerted effort with both the Eugene and Springfield police departments for the last several weeks. The unfortunate thing is we’re working diligently as we speak to keep him from being released from the Lane County Jail,” said Lt. Eric Klinko, Eugene Police Department.
After the traffic stop, police added four more charges including felony possession of a firearm.
