EUGENE, Ore. — Police arrested a man for getting in a fight at a grocery store.
It happened Sunday afternoon at Albertson’s on East 30th Avenue and Hilyard Street.
Eugene police say Jacob Morton Berk, 19, got in an argument with a man who was returning bottles and cans in the recycling area and punched him in the face several times. They said a 65-year-old Marine veteran intervened and took Berk to the ground and held him there until police arrived.
Berk was arrested for assault, criminal trespass, open container and disorderly conduct.
