Corvallis Police arrested 21-year-old Fidel Padilla-Sanchez at 1:40 a.m. on Monday after his girlfriend said he was driving drunk, then later locked her baby in a car.
According to the police report, Padilla-Sanchez confronted his girlfriend in the Burger King parking lot on NW 9th St, where he had locked her baby daughter in the vehicle. She called 911, and police arrested him for DUII.
Padilla-Sanchez was released, and about three hours later, he was arrested again.
Police say his girlfriend called 911 a second time – claiming Padilla-Sanchez was upset at her for calling police about the DUII. According to the police report, he grabbed her by the neck and by the arm at her apartment, and took her cell phone, keys, and wallet. She fled and was able to call police again.
Padilla-Sanchez is being charged with DUII, strangulation, assault in the fourth degree, and coercion.
