Man Charged with Assaulting 6-Month-Old

AUMSVILLE, Ore — An Aumsville man is in jail after Marion County Deputies say he assaulted a 6-month-old boy that left him in critical condition.

Deputies were first alerted by medical staff at Santiam Hospital in Stayton after the victim was brought in for treatment last month by the mother’s boyfriend, 30-year-old Robert Andrew Pinsky.

Pinsky claims the boy fell off the couch while he was babysitting him. The child was flown to Oregon Health & Sciences University-Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland for more intensive treatment because of the severity of his injuries. Doctors then told investigators that the injuries were not consistent with falling off a couch.

Pinsky was ultimately arrested and charged with one count of first degree assault. He is lodged at the Marion County Jail. His bail is set at $150,000.

The victim remains in critical condition at OHSU.

Okay KEZI I give up, what were the serious injuries? If you don’t know what the injuries were you might say something like, “we were unable to find out what the exact injuries this baby suffered”

What a concept, including all pertinent (relevant) information in a story….

Hmm. The child had to fly to Doernbecher’s because of the severity of his injuries. I don’t necessarily need to know specifically what those injuries are to know that this man is scum.

Hey KC, You’ve missed the entire point, although I’m not really surprised!

The good thing is that you have a right to publish your comments (just like anyone else) and there isn’t anything anyone can do about it! But I don’t think I would want to be known as a person who thinks he’s “better than others” just because others have made a mistake however grievous!

And I’ll tell you point blank, you aren’t any better than anyone else contrary to your mis-led beliefs! And your parents are at least partly to blame for arrogant better thou attitude!
