EUGENE, Ore. — A local family helps grant a Eugene homeless man’s holiday wish.
Paul Ishmael spent the day sprucing up his brand new home. One of the families he does some property maintenance for offered him their trailer for his work. Ishmael has been sleeping in his car ever since he got laid off from work years ago. He says this couldn’t have happened at a better time, just days after his birthday and right before Christmas.
Ishmael says, “I was so excited I just couldn’t stop doing what I wanted, because I know that this would’ve been a blessing and it is a blessing for me. It’s a home now for me.”
Ismael had been looking for more than a month for someone to help move the trailer to its current location. He says his prayers were answered just last night.
