PLEASANT HILL, Ore. — Oregon State Police say a man is in critical condition after he was struck by a van in Pleasant Hill Saturday.
Investigators say the man, Alejandro Perez, was a passenger in an SUV stopped near Parkwary Road south of Wheeler Road waiting to turn into a mill.
A car stopped behind the SUV and started honking the horn. Perez got out and approached the car.
Police say the car sped off then a van came by and was unable to avoid hitting Perez. Perez’s injuries are not life-threatening. Enforcement action is pending the completion of the investigation.
