SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Emergency crews took one man to the hospital after a mobile home caught fire in Springfield.
Crews responded to the fire just after 8:00 p.m. in a vacant mobile home, on Daisy Street, in the Mountain View Mobile Home Subdivision.
A man running to report the fire fell and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Fire crews were able to get the fire knocked out quickly and save a lot of the structure.
“It’s fortunate that we have the merger on right now because Eugene engines crews are able to backfill our stations and cover calls for us while we are at an emergency incident such as this,” explains Cpt. Todd Schwartz with the Springfield Fire Department.
The fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
