EUGENE, Ore. — A man is in jail, accused of plowing through several backyards in west Eugene, leaving a lengthy trail of destruction.
Eugene police say it’s unclear why the man drove through the backyards on Monday night, but they say he started at some apartments near 17th Avenue and Garfield Street.
The suspect went through a number of fences, even slamming into a jacuzzi, before ending up in a backyard of Westmoreland Village. He then fled the scene, but police located him in the area around 11th and Garfield.
It’s unclear if there were any injuries.
