FLORENCE, Ore. — A man’s body was found on a beach and investigators are trying to figure out how he died.
Passersby found the 57-year-old man dead on the beach near Washburne State Park north of Florence Thursday afternoon.
Police don’t think he had been in the water and may have had a medical emergency while walking on the beach.
His name has not yet been released.

When I saw the headline I it had been foul play so I thought, “I’m glad I wasn’t there” because I frequent that area to take photos. After reading that he may have had a medical emergency, I wished I HAD been there to help him. How sad.
