Dorinda Dawes has been walking for March of Dimes for more than 40 years. She has been involved in Lane County High Heels for High Hopes, the Tulips for Babies, and Jeans for Greens walks. She says it was an honor to be named the chair this year.
“I thought of it as a way to be able to say thank you for being blessed with healthy children, and little did I know I would develop a personal experience,” said Dawes said.
March of Dimes is a leading non-profit for pregnancy and baby health. The organization works to improve the health of newborns and fight against birth defects and infant mortality.
