METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
March is here and it’s turning up the heat. High temperatures will climb into the 60s by the afternoon. Clouds will slowly decrease throughout the day, bringing more sunshine later as well. Clouds move back in Friday night with lows falling into the mid 40s.
The next system is already getting together over the Pacific Ocean. The center of the low is spinning in the Gulf of Alaska. As the low works its way towards the Pacific Northwest, it will grab some tropical air and moisture traveling along the jet stream. Showers will start along the coast Saturday afternoon and then across the rest of the area around dinnertime. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s.
Showers wrap up Sunday morning and dry weather will return by the evening. On the backside of the system, though, will be colder air; highs will fall back into the low 50s with lows into the 30s.
Monday will be dry ahead of the next system, set to bring more showers to the area Monday night through Wednesday.
Have a fantastic Friday!
