Marcola Post Office Suffers Break-in

MARCOLA, Ore. — The United States Postal Service is offering up to a $10,000 reward to track down who broke into the Marcola post office.

It happened the night of August 21 and could be related to a break-in at the Elmira post office the night before.

Investigators think more than just mail was taken, but they aren’t releasing many details.

Residents were surprised to hear about the burglary.

“I only pick my mail up once a week and that’s it ya know, if I was missing a piece, I would never know it,” said Marcola resident Edward Nelson.

“But if they got magazine subscriptions that serves them right (laughs),” said Marcola resident Clint Cobert.

If you know who’s responsible for the break-ins, call the USPS.
